Sound Security
At Intercilium Inc., we don't make empty promises. We've established a solid security system that will keep your private health information from unwanted intrusions.
When PHDtoGo launches in the near future, Intercilium Inc. will have multiple security protections in place:
- Intercilium Inc.'s servers will be maintained by one of North America's largest Internet service providers, in secured physical cages within secure buildings that are monitored 24 hours a day.
- Access to the servers will only be possible when two authorized personnel are present.
- The servers will be protected by state-of-the-art firewalls. In recognition of the fact that no single barrier can be 100 percent efficient in protecting data, Intercilium Inc. uses many walls to protect the security of users' health data.
- In addition to the physical and electronic access mentioned above, each user's data will be encrypted with a different key before storage on the server. The keys are generated from seed data known only to the individual users. They will not be stored on the server, so even Intercilium Inc. personnel will not be able to read user health data.
- All data will also be encrypted for transmission between the client and server machines.
- In case of a disaster, Intercilium Inc.'s recovery plan includes backup tapes and backup locations for the data.
Further details about Intercilium's de-identification system and patent-pending privacy model will be available after PHDtoGo launches.
PHDtoGo will be available for general release in the near future.
